MA, CCC-SLP

Speech, Language, Kids, Adults, &  AAC

"As mom to an amazing special needs son, I want children to feel welcome and safe here. However they communicate, I listen. My adults come with different challenges, often working to regain abilities. I want my work to not only improve those abilities, but restore confidence as well. "

Marie Malyarovich,  MA, CCC-SLP

Marie Malvarovich is one of the co-directors at All 4 Therapy, LLC.

Marie received her Bachelor‘s Degree in Psychology from William Paterson University. In following her passion for helping others, Marie pursued and completed her Masters in Speech Language Pathology at Montclair State University.

Marie’s continued commitment to the speech therapy world is driven in part by her oldest son’s diagnosis of Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA).  Because of SMA, her son is unable to communicate through speech or even sign language (except to people who know him very well). When he was a toddler, Marie advocated strongly for the use of an Augmentative/Alternative Communication (AAC) device that opened up his world. It equipped her with real-world experience finding practical solutions to the most demanding of communication challenges.

At this time, Marie is working towards finalizing an additional certification in Assistive Technology. With ongoing experience of eye-gaze AAC devices, Marie provides the most up-to-date, evidence based care for children and adults in need of technological support.

Marie is fluent in Arabic and French and has serviced the Arabic and French communities in Bergen, Passaic, Morris, and Essex counties for many years.

When Marie is not mothering or "speeching", she can be found entertaining and exploring unique destinations and cuisines.

Marie Malvarovich Specializations

Marie is an experienced therapist (and experienced mom) who specializes in the treatment of many disorders.

Her specializations include (but are not limited to):

Speech therapy for adults: Although Marie brings her formal training and energetic disposition to children's speech therapy, she also has formal education, and practical experience, treating adults. See our FAQ page for a list of conditions that lead adults to our office, as well as options for both virtual speech therapy and in-person therapy.

Autism and ADHD: Marie specializes in treating children, verbal and non-verbal, on the autism spectrum, as well as children with Attention-Deficit / Hyperactivity Disorder. With her innate sensitivity, patience, high energy, and formal training, Marie loves helping families by sharing strategies that work not only in the office, but at home.

Augmentative and Alternative Communication: Marie's son has been using an eye-gaze AAC device since he was two years old, and Marie loves sharing her real-life experiences to help clients make the most of their AAC strategies. Marie is currently in the process of pursing her accreditation for AAC therapy, however AAC has been a functional and necessary part of her family life for nearly a decade. Learn more about AAC.

Beckman Oral Motor Certification: To build oral strength, therapists give clients prompts (instructions). But what if a client can't follow the instructions? That's where Beckman Oral Motor techniques come in. This therapy embraces "specific interventions which provide assisted movement to activate muscle contraction and to provide movement against resistance to build strength." Learn more.

Bilingual Speech Therapy: Fluent in both French and Arabic, Marie offers bilingual speech-language therapy.

Voice, fluency, and pragmatic language: Marie works with voices disorders (such as those cause by illness or injury), fluency impairment (such as stuttering or cognitive delays), and pragmatic language (everyday language and communication).
