What age range do you work with?

We work with infants, toddlers, adults, and the elderly for our speech therapy services. Children and infants will love our occupational therapy, physical therapy, and speech therapy services. Adults, such as those recovering from a stroke, will love our dedicated space for adult speech therapy.

Do you bill for missed or canceled appointments?

Some of our therapists are parents of young kids, so we understand that unexpected life events can interfere with scheduling! We prefer to have 24 hours notice for canceled appointments. We do not charge for canceled appointments for occasional emergencies; however, routine absences may result in our inability to schedule further sessions in order to prioritize our patient load. We value and respect our clients’ time!

FAQS for Guardians and Parents of Young Children For Speech, Occupational Therapy (OT), and Physical Therapy (PT)

Can parents sit in to watch therapy sessions with kids?

You bet! In fact, we believe parents should be as involved as they are able in a child’s speech, occupational, or physical therapy. We love to teach parents techniques they can use at home for their child’s development. That said, we also believe that being agile is key to treatment, and if a child cannot focus on treatment while a parent or guardian is in the room, we may collaborate with parents to determine the best way forward.

How long are your sessions for my child’s age and abilities?

Sessions are typically thirty minutes long, once or twice a week. Treatment is scheduled on a case-by-case basis. Every child is unique, and so is every treatment plan.

For how long do you think my child will need therapy?

The duration of therapy depends on many factors: the severity of the disorder, the family’s ability to commit to at-home treatment practice, and the child’s temperament. If a particular type of treatment isn’t working for your child, our therapists have the flexibility and experience to try something else.

How do you communicate with parents or caregivers?

We are available via email, phone, and even text (yes, text!). We make it easy to communicate with our office.

How exactly do you track the progress for my child? What are the speech milestones you’re hoping to measure?

During your evaluation, we will identify your child’s unique benchmarks. We routinely communicate with parents and caregivers during sessions. We'll let you know when the child has achieved key milestones in speech, occupational therapy, feeding therapy, or physical therapy.

Do you collaborate with my child’s teachers, occupational therapists, or others to support overall development?

At All 4 Therapy LLC, we take a “whole child” approach to treatment. That means, we look at all your child’s challenges and strengths. Collaborating with other therapists and teachers can strengthen everyone’s treatment plans. We are very open to discussions that can help your child thrive.

What do you do when a child doesn’t want to participate in speech therapy, OT, or PT?

Our therapists are trained in the techniques that encourage kids’ interest in therapy sessions. It’s not unusual for a child to be reluctant to participate in a therapy session. Sometimes, a child is hungry or thirsty. Sometimes they may be scared, or in a bad mood, or feeling put-on-the-spot. That’s why we only work with the warmest, most genuinely engaging therapists. We work to understand what makes our children tick, then we help them thrive using our patience, experience, cleverness, humor, and respect.

How do you make speech therapy, OT, and PT fun for kids?

Some children love cerebral games like puzzles or board games. Others like more kinetic movement games (popping bubbles, throwing pom poms, jumping games). Some are more artistic and want to paint or color. And some love the soothing qualities of sensory play (sand, play clay, or sensory bins). We do it all! Playing helps your child look forward to therapy sessions (and helps keep kids focused and on track).

Often, our kiddos go home with a special treat for working hard at therapy; we want them to look forward to coming back again!

Do you offer speech therapy for kids with special needs, such as Autism spectrum disorders, ADHA, or sensory processing disorders?

We absolutely do. Our therapists are experienced with the unique needs of children of all abilities! We love kids for who they are, with all their wonderful personalities. Our goal is to help a child develop, not force a child to “act right.”

Are there any resources you recommend I use to support my child with development at home?

We love sending our clients home with activities they can participate in with their families. From personalized coloring pages to books to toy recommendations, we make it easy for parents and guardians to apply therapy techniques to real-life situations.

What are you doing to stay up-to-date on the latest research?

Our therapists regularly take classes to stay current on the latest information regarding speech, physical therapy, and occupational therapy for kids. If you want to know more, please inquire to ask a specific therapist what he or she is learning about right now.
